PRINTING PROBLEMS
PROBLEM SOLUTION
Object peels o the build plate
during printing.
Make sure that thebuildplate tape is clean
and securely applied to the build plate. If prints
continue to peel o the plate, your plate may no
longer be level. Follow the instructions on page 57
to level the build plate.
Touchscreen doesn’t respond. The control panel screen on the MakerBot
Replicator Z18 is not a touchscreen. Turn the dial to
scroll through the available options on the screen.
Press the dial to select.
Can’t access the Library, Explore and
Store sections of MakerBot Desktop.
You may not be logged into your MakerBot
account. These features are only accessible
when you are logged in. If you are logged into your
MakerBot account but are still unable to access
the Library, Store and Explore sections, your
computer may not be connected to the internet.
The MakerBot Replicator Z18
is connected to a network, but
MakerBot Desktop will only
allow you to export, not print.
You may not have established a connection
between MakerBot Desktop and your MakerBot
Replicator Z18. In MakerBot Desktop, go to
Devices > Connect to Makerbot. Choose
your MakerBot Replicator Z18 from the list
of MakerBot 3D printers on your network and
click Connect. When prompted, push the dial
on your MakerBot Replicator Z18 to confirm
the connection.
